BENT on Sullivan County Stage

BENT, Martin Sherman's 1979 play about the persecution of gays in Nazi Germany, will by be prerformed by the Sullivan County Dramatic Workshop this June at the Rivoli Theater in South Fallsburg, NY .
Under the direction of Constance S. Slater, the story of Max and Rudy, two gay men in Berlin during the 1930s, unfolds. Revealing a very sad and still widely unknown chapter of Nazi devastation and gay history, this play is one you will not forget.
Bent, a slang word used in some European countries for homosexuals, has been performed on many stages throughout the world, including a Broadway production staring Richard Gere. In 1997 it was adapted into a film by the same name directed by Sean Mathias.
The Sullivan County production of BENT will be on June 4, 5, 11 and 12 at 8pm and on June 6 and 13 at 2pm at the Rivoli Theater, 5243 Main Street (Route 42), South Fallsburg, NY.
